Exchange Supports President Obama’s
Call for Service to Others

TOLEDO, OHIO – National Exchange Club President Floyd Culver issued a statement Tuesday asserting support for President Obama’s call to Americans to serve others through community service.

“The National Exchange Club has proudly, humbly and quietly served our fellow Americans for nearly 100 years,” Culver said. “Last year alone, Exchange members gave more than 155,000 volunteer hours and more than $8 million to local communities across this great country. We have provided everything from life-saving equipment to fire stations and hospitals, to giving school supplies and warm clothing to needy children, to building parks and playgrounds where they were most needed. Exchange has been serving, helping and providing for America and America alone for almost 100 years and we welcome anyone who wishes to join our forces.”

Exchange, America’s Service Club, is a group of men and women working to make their communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Projects, and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. To date, the National Exchange Club’s efforts have helped more than 1.6 million children and 656,000 families eliminate child abuse from their daily lives.
