Naugatuck Resident Elected National Exchange Club Regional Vice President

Clifford Kiernan, a member of the Exchange Club of Naugatuck, Conn., was re-elected to a second two-year term as Regional Vice President, Region 12, at the organization’s 2008 national convention in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a retired case manager from the Department of Mental Health for the State of Connecticut.

Kiernan joined Exchange in 1981. He served as club secretary and club president on three occasions, and chaired the club’s successful fundraising golf tournament for the past 12 years. For the Connecticut District, he served as president in 2000-2001, district division director for four years, and district secretary. Highly active at the district level, Kiernan grew membership and chaired conferences and a convention. In 1998, he received the Book of Golden Deeds award from his club. In 2007, he was awarded the district’s Exchangite of the Year Award. For the National Exchange Club, Kiernan serves on the Awards and Leadership Development Committees.

Kiernan is vice president of the Exchange Club Family Life Center of Greater Waterbury, and is involved with the Hop Brook Golf Association. Kiernan lives in Naugatuck, Conn., with his wife Regina. They have two grown children and three grandchildren.
