FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEDate: August 19, 2008 To: News Directors, Assignment Editor From: Michelle Mazzei, Communications Director, the National Exchange Club, 800/924-2643, mmazzei@nationalexchangeclub.org, Web site: www.nationalexchangeclub.org El Paso Resident Elected National Exchange Club Regional Vice PresidentSidney Mobley, a member of the Exchange Club of El Paso, Texas, was elected to a second two-year term as Regional Vice President, Region 4, at the organization’s 2008 national convention in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a retired Chief Warrant Officer for the U.S. Army. Mobley joined Exchange in 1993. Throughout his membership, he has been an active club member, chairing many committees and service projects, and served as club President. He served several consecutive terms as Southwest District Director and twice as District President. For the National Exchange Club, Mobley chairs the Awards Committee and serves on the Program of Service Committee. He previously served on the Diversity Committee. While in the military, Mobley studied Public Administration through the Upper Iowa State University program. Mobley’s goal was to always focus on community service and helping youth. Using his leadership skills learned in the military, he became involved with the Boy Scouts of America, started Troop 48 – was the first Scoutmaster, and earned several awards. He is Past President of the El Paso Wings Track Club, a summer activities Youth program. He is a member of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church. Mobley resides with his wife Claresie in El Paso and has five grown children, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. # # # |
