She joined Exchange in 1992 and served in different leadership positions at the club level. She has also served two terms as district president (2001-02 and 2002-03). Brenda received several awards, including the District Exchangite of the Year, Distinguished District President, and Star District Awards. She helped develop the Shaken Baby Syndrome program with hospitals in the Houston area and clubs within the district and also served as a parent aide for six years. Brenda helped build the Brazos Bend and Angleton clubs. She has recruited people into Exchange and co-chaired the building of two Excel Clubs. For the National Exchange Club, Robinson chairs the Public Relations/Communications Committee and serves on the Awards Committee. Brenda is active on the CPS board and the Fort Bend Child Advocates fundraising. She served on the Richmond State School Board, the YMCA, Fort Bend Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and was a founding board member of the Fort Bend County Community Partners Rainbow Room. In 2002, she was one of eight women recognized as Fort Bend Outstanding Volunteer for Community Service. She received the 1997 Blue Ribbon Award and the 1997 Parent Aide of the Year Award from her local Child Abuse Prevention Center. Brenda is the recipient of the 2000 NASA Community Service Award and the 2001 Texas Department of Mental Health & Mental Retardation Star Award. # # # |
